G.E.E.D.O.PG.E.E.D.O.P is a non-profit organization providing extra numeracy, literacy and life skills lessons and support for a group of Soweto learners still in their foundation phase (Grade 1, 2 and 3). The GEEDOP team of dedicated and committed educators who work on the project address the challenges that these learners face on a daily basis i.e. high failure rate, lack of study resources and the social issues that impact a child’s ability to focus on learning. Through the programme, learners are given the resources to fully understand the basics of the foundation phase which is key to the success of their academic careers.
